Sausage Party: The Best Wurst

Austin is famous for food carts and food trailers. They're slightly different from L.A.'s food trucks, but the concept is the same -- mobile goodies for a decent price.

We got into town late Friday night and walked down the street to The Best Wurst, which is situated quasi-permanently at San Jacinto and the infamous 6th Street.

Mr. Monkey got a smoked jalapeno with everything except onions (large photo), and I got a smoked pork Italian with everything (small photo). Each cost $4.50. They were the best midnight snacks for a couple of hungry tourists. Spicy. Juicy. Satisfying.

6th Street is a madhouse. It reminded me of Bourbon Street in New Orleans.

We were supposed to go to Austin for the UCLA/Texas game, but had to cancel because of rescheduling our HI trip. Looks like we missed out.
