I thought it was so cute because of the colors. They match my blog perfectly!
I hadn't even seen the good side, though. That was when I really fell in love.
The thought of rummaging through this thing nonchalantly in court cracks me up. I felt self-conscious just toting it down the hall on my way out of the office.
Too bad plaintiff is filing for Chapter 13 relief, and the Court decided to stay my case pending the outcome of the bankruptcy.
Oh, the disappointment and euphoria of not going to trial in a week! No Atticus Finch or Perry Mason performance by me after all. Hell, even a Denny Crane or Elle Woods moment would've been cool.
But now I get to celebrate my birthday stress-free. Silver lining to everything.

The relief of not going to trial has got to be a bit of a birthday present in itself! I find the courts have no sense of humor.
