No Doubt

The original plan was to go to a Writers Guild screening of Doubt, starring Meryl Streep, Philip Seymour Hoffman, and Amy Adams. The original plan was to listen to all three speak after the screening.

We scrapped the original plan when we got there a half hour early and witnessed a serpentine line wrapped around the Beverly Hills block.

Brother Monkey and I headed to The Grove instead to see if we could catch a free flick there. Gotta love his Writers Guild membership! However, our timing was off. The movies worth watching had already started.

We were left with Madagascar 2, Role Models, and Zach and Miri Make a Porno. And we didn't want to pay to see those. Not all movies qualify for free status with the Guild. It's kind of obvious why.

So we walked around. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

Is it me, or does this gingerbread man look sort of lewd? Maybe it's just me.

BroMo tried out Tap Tap Revenge at the Apple store.

We sauntered into Barnes & Noble, where we perused some screenwriting books. This guy recommended a few books to BroMo and asked him if he was in school. I think the guy was surprised when BroMo told him he writes for a network television show. Tee hee.

We rounded out the night with some hot vanillas from Coffee Bean, and BroMo sent me home with a screener DVD of Burn After Reading.

I like being BroMo's sister.

  1. I love your photos more and more everyday. The photo of BroMo is awesome!

You got me all excited with the title . . . I thought No Doubt was finally going to release a new album or somethin'.

  2. it's not just you re: gingerbread.

I really liked burn after reading - curious to hear if you enjoy it as well!

  3. Yay Christmas! Sounds like a great night.

  4. The gingerbread man reminds me of the victoria's secret mannequins.

I love the christmas decor at the grove. It makes up for the 80 degree weather we're having.

  5. the title of this post is brilliant! i have to agree that the gingerbread man looks a tad inappropriate... haha. your post successfully made me jealous of having a brother. i've always wanted one!

  6. Winmeister -- I took all of these, including the b&w BroMo shot with my little pink point-and-shoot!

  7. I can't believe all the Christmas stuff already out. It makes me sad for the turkey.

  8. I loved the holiday photos...except the Gingerbread man...he's just plain creepy in that pose.

  9. The Gingerbread is definitely asking someone to come and get it.

We saw Zack and Miri this weekend, because I love Seth Rogen. And yeah, not worth money, but he was very good. Almost, too good, for that level of a movie. AND it's Seth Rogen, so yeah...

  10. Ewwww. Gingerbread man wants you to lick his frosting.

  11. I'd settle for being BroMo's cousin! I accept screeners as well :)

    pick me! pick me!

  12. Christmas is springing up everywhere. I haven't even had my turkey yet!

That gingerbread dude is suggestive. :\ No bueno.

I wanted to see Burn After Reading in the theaters but never made it. You'll have to tell me what you think of it.

  13. seriously you have the coolest hookups, i'm slightly jealous.

and i totally agree about the gingerbread man, he looks ummm a little zexy for a christmas display, haha.

  14. That gingerbread it totally flirting with you.

  15. I agree with Winnie, your photo skills are getting better and better (not that they were ever bad in the first place)

Gingerbread man looks like he's straight out of "Playgirl", er, "GingerbreadGirl"

  16. So here's a question for one of my favorite bloggy foodies: which part of the gingerbread man do you eat first? :)

  17. I'm very attracted to that sex-ay gingerbread man.

You and your brother have such a cool relationship/friendship. No doubt about it! Bwahahahaha... :D

  18. okay, and glam just made me pee a little.

  19. I'm sad I am so late to this post because all of my raunchy gingerbread man thoughts have been taken.

  20. The Grove and the saucy gingerbread man... such a family-friendly spot!

  21. I love that you love being your bro's sister :) It's cute!!

  22. dead at raunchy gingerbread man.

i wish i was bromo's sister. i wanna see burn after reading. we stayed in and watched other stuff this weekend instead. ;P
