No Doubt

The original plan was to go to a Writers Guild screening of Doubt, starring Meryl Streep, Philip Seymour Hoffman, and Amy Adams. The original plan was to listen to all three speak after the screening.

We scrapped the original plan when we got there a half hour early and witnessed a serpentine line wrapped around the Beverly Hills block.

Brother Monkey and I headed to The Grove instead to see if we could catch a free flick there. Gotta love his Writers Guild membership! However, our timing was off. The movies worth watching had already started.

We were left with Madagascar 2, Role Models, and Zach and Miri Make a Porno. And we didn't want to pay to see those. Not all movies qualify for free status with the Guild. It's kind of obvious why.

So we walked around. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

Is it me, or does this gingerbread man look sort of lewd? Maybe it's just me.

BroMo tried out Tap Tap Revenge at the Apple store.

We sauntered into Barnes & Noble, where we perused some screenwriting books. This guy recommended a few books to BroMo and asked him if he was in school. I think the guy was surprised when BroMo told him he writes for a network television show. Tee hee.

We rounded out the night with some hot vanillas from Coffee Bean, and BroMo sent me home with a screener DVD of Burn After Reading.

I like being BroMo's sister.

  4. The gingerbread man reminds me of the victoria's secret mannequins.

I love the christmas decor at the grove. It makes up for the 80 degree weather we're having.

  9. The Gingerbread is definitely asking someone to come and get it.

We saw Zack and Miri this weekend, because I love Seth Rogen. And yeah, not worth money, but he was very good. Almost, too good, for that level of a movie. AND it's Seth Rogen, so yeah...
