Surviving Buffets

As you may have noticed, I'm no longer dieting. (Did you see what I ate last night?!) However, I still do a bit of portion control to make sure I don't gain weight. Never again do I want to be as heavy as I was earlier this year!

I had a great lunch today with BPLJ and our favorite partner from our old firm at Kyoto.

Kyoto features an all-you-can-eat lunch buffet for $21.50. Offerings include various sushi and sashimi, New York steak with ponzu, chicken teriyaki, grilled salmon, spring rolls, shumai, fried noodles, udon, assorted tempura, and salads. It's fast and tasty and in a setting nice enough for a quick business lunch. Check out this fried bonanza.
What's a girl to do? I decided not to hold back too much and to eat less at (or skip) dinner! Here's what I ate.
Then there was dessert....

But here's what I actually ate. I'm not dieting, but I'm not completely stupid either.

When the check came, our favorite partner picked up the tab! No wonder he's our favorite! Tee hee!

Don't you just LOVED-EDED buffets? I swear they are the greatest invention since before the dollar menu at Mickey-D's

  2. I am so jealousE of all of the great lunches and dinners you have. I really should branch out from my typical bean and rice burrito dinners. :)

  13. On a side note, you get I think a 20% discount with a Korean Air Skypass since the hotel is owned by Korean Air.
