Late-Night Verve

It's 3:21 a.m., and I can't sleep. The hubs is still in Palm Springs, and I have this really bad habit of being super nocturnal when I'm alone.

Oh, and I really shouldn't have had that Caramel Light Ice Blended earlier. Light on sugar, not on caffeine. I'm an idiot.

The Verve's "Bitter Sweet Symphony" (yeah, "bitter sweet" and not "bittersweet") is playing on VH1. This was the song to which I walked down the aisle. It's a sign! I should be awake! I love how Richard Ashcroft just swaggers down the sidewalk and doesn't let anything or anybody get in his way. Sometimes I wish I could shove people like that. Ok. Not sometimes. All the time.

I guess it's cool to catch this on real TV. This is pretty much the only time actual music videos are played nowadays. A little Verve to accompany my own Coffee Bean-induced verve. Heh.

I can't stop. Since starting this entry, I've watched Amy Winehouse and her big hair and scary mascara, Linkin Park and their new [but-sounds-exactly-the same-as-all-their-other-songs] single, and Jimmy Eat World's classic "The Middle" underwear party. [sigh] I miss those boys. Please come out with a new album.

Shit. It's Jessica Simpson and Proactiv. Maybe I'll go brush my teeth now.
