Dumb TV

I am seriously lame. I totally gasped out loud several times tonight while watching Paradise Hotel 2. At least I still had the good sense to cackle at the teary ending. I think that makes me ever-so-slightly less ridiculous.

Maybe.

And then the show ends. I flip to MTV.
Staring at the blank page before you
Open up the dirty window
Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find
Reaching for something in the distance
So close you can almost taste it
Release your inhibitions
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten
Extra points for you if you sang this. Or perhaps negative points for you. I can't decide.

It's LC's birthday soon on this episode. Funny, it's my birthday soon, too. And that's pretty much where the similarities between this show and my life end.

This weird long commercial with Alicia Keys is terrible. I don't even know what's being advertised. Oh, it's Dove soap. Huh?

Yay for Phantom Planet being played!

Mmm....Toast.

I'm really glad Brother Monkey isn't a douche like Spencer Pratt. I would have to kill myself if Spencer were my brother. "I'm sorry you're making yourself cry." DOUCHE.

Mmm...Nada Surf.

OMG. Another episode? I don't know if I can handle so much of The Hills. Hopefully, this one is about Whitney. Whitney is my fave. She seems a little smarter than all the other girls.

Oh, goody! Whitney! And there she goes! With another good idea! Love my girl!

Heidi is a dumb-dumb. Audrina is a dumb-dumb, too. I don't know who is dumber. I think I am even dumber than they are for wondering about this.

This post really sucked.

Total bloggorhea.

  1. What are you talking about -- I LOVED this post! And I heart Phantom Planet, too (even before they were known for their theme song for "The OC"; yes, those " "s were correct). Happy almost birthday!

  2. I have no idea what you're talking about . . . but last night I watched the Bachelor. I guess that makes me worse than you.

  3. I sang it! I sang it! Bonus points!

Ditto Winnie. And even lamer is that I got really excited to see the preview for next week's The Bahelor because he is taking the women to Sun Valley, Idaho. Sigh. I need to stop watching so much TV.

  6. I have escaped the Hills, thankfully. Great play by play though. I heard Whitney is getting a spin off. That would be nice. She is the only one who is semi-admirable and has an actual drive to have a real carreer.

  7. I can't relate when you go off on these weird tangets about shows I don't get.

  8. Add me to the "love this post" brigade. It's such a silly fluffy show, but I can't stop watching.

  9. I wish I was reading this post while watching the show last night. I love the Hills so much I even told my videographer that I'd like my wedding video to reference it.

So of course I was singing the song.

Ditto on the terrible Alicia Keys commercial. I am so confused by it that it makes me hate her. Just a little.

  10. 1. I totally sang the song :) I do before every episode of The Hills. I don't know why. I'm probably a loser.

    2. I HATE SPENCER!!! Ugh, just the sight of his freeloading face makes me wanna barf.

    3. Heidi's Restylane (sp?) treatment is really obvious...and badly done. I love how she says she can't remember why she's not friends with Audrina. I do. Because Spencer was trying to get with her too and you got mad at Audrina.

    4. When I heard that Whitney and Lauren both got "fired" from their "jobs" at Teen Vogue, I predicted they'd both work for Kelly Cutrone (after Whitney got the job). We shall see next week.

    5. That Dove commercial had me and Mr. P so confused, we thought they'd cut away from The Hills to put on another show.

    6. I can't believe I've written so much about The Hills. Now *this* is what makes me a loser.

  12. i wish MTV could just do a spinoff for just Whitney so I wouldn't have to watch stupid ho Heidi and dumba** LC!

  14. I don't watch so much TV so I had NO CLUE what the hell you were referring to... but do I get some brownie points for singing along?!?

  15. yeah, i sang along. what? i really liked that song when it first came out.

while i watch a lot of crap tv, i still have never gotten into the hills. i watched 10 minutes of the very first episode and just couldn't do it.

  16. Hmm...maybe I don't miss TV so much right now. Oh, but The Office is back tomorrow night! That's a show I get happy about. :)
