I woke up late this morning and didn't feel like washing my hair. Solution? Headband! Please ignore the flyaways.
Lunch was the highlight of my day (again). I made a new friend who loves going to authentic Asian and Latin restaurants. I've decided she will be my Exotic Lunch BFF. (I'm very excited to have found two BFFs in one day, even if one is inanimate.)
I couldn't help but giggle at the name of the place. This place is...the shit!
another unfortunately named restaurant, it proved to be quite yummers. And, at $6.50 for a full meal of grilled shrimp, spring rolls, and vermicelli, how could you go wrong?
Even after the junk food revelation, there was still more food to be had. A friendly girl down the hall loves to bake and gave me this neat little box.
Hmmm...Where to eat? My Dung or Young Dong? What a conundrum! Asian restaurant owners need to befriend native English speakers. Really. No joke. It should be law.ReplyDelete
The headband looks cute on you!ReplyDelete
The headband suits you. :)ReplyDelete
My co-workers and I often go to a Vietnamese place called A Dong. The food is good, and the name's a laugh riot. Everybody wins!
That's one hell of a tub o' ghetto candy.ReplyDelete
you totally remind me of one of the dance assistants i've danced with in the jazz/modern class i take in that picture.ReplyDelete
the picture doesn't completely show what i'm talking about, but it's a big compliment. this girl is just silly talented. :) and we know you are too... just in a different world.
I like the pic of you in the headband!ReplyDelete
dude, i am also a huge fan of hair powder to keep hair feeling/looking/smelling clean on days you don't shampoo. bumble and b umble makes the best one, it's tinted and aerosol-y can. cake beauty makes a super good smelling one, but it comes in a regular powder can (thus a little messy). aveda pure something or other is also awesome. i just love telling people about that stuff. it makes my hair day.ReplyDelete
i think i need some of willikat's hair powder. headbands make my fat head hurt. i have a mean headache a few hours after donning one.ReplyDelete
my dung sounds like the shiznit! mmm...vermicelli + spring rolls.
The headband is totally cute! That's great that you can rock the headband! I look lame with a headband, so my lazy hair day is pigtails (and then everyone else knows it's my lazy hair day too).ReplyDelete
Sigh...the beauty in these Vietnamese names get so lost in the English language. My Vietnamese name shares one of the words with that unfortunate restaurant. My moniker means royal beauty and was named after a famous Chinese fictional character, but it sounds like Chinese cow poop to English speakers.ReplyDelete
You should hear all the English names that the Vietnamese elders butcher...David = duck's butt.
Headband is always a sure sign of unwashed hair for me. It's my best friend too.ReplyDelete
you definitely can rock the headband. unfortunately, i look about 12 when i wear one with my new short(ish) hair. lunch looks GOOD. viet cuisine is def one of my top 8!ReplyDelete
You look so cute in a headband! J.Crew has some really cute ones right now - i just got a really cute sparkly one for new years!ReplyDelete
oh, my tummy hurts from the name of the restaurant. ow.ReplyDelete
and, dude, i heart headbands. it's cute on you! on me...not so much. :X
I, too, love the headband! I'm a fan of the old rubberband myself. it's a sign of the lazy hair day - which is a good 4 out of the 5 workday week.ReplyDelete
I dig headbands! You look cute. :) And two BFFs in one day-lucky!ReplyDelete
I would wear a hat everyday if I could to avoid having to mess with my hair. The headband looks cute on you - me not so much.ReplyDelete
hahaha i also rock headbands when I dont feel like showering in the morning (because my bangs sometimes do this weird elvis flip thing) Except my dome is pretty big so i usually have the stretch the headband out before I use it.ReplyDelete
You look super cute with what I call a band! And ooooh yum, I love My Poo places, so cheap and good.ReplyDelete
