What do you get when Chinese people open a Japanese eatery with a nod to the Internet?
While not even remotely authentic (I could understand the staff's chattering in Mandarin), Wahoo Chaya (8151 Arroyo Drive, Rosemead) is decent food for a decent price. I like going here for a quick weekday lunch.
The iced green tea is humongous and refreshing.
I hope Yahoo! never catches on. This ain't gourmet, but it sure is convenient.
That's hilarious! Out here there's a place called WaFu sushi located in the WaMu plaza. I think they did it on purpose.ReplyDelete
you have no idea how good that sashimi looks. and I'd take the tempura, too.ReplyDelete
i heart anything tempura.ReplyDelete
hahaha!! absolutely hilarious. ;-)ReplyDelete
I'm always on the look out for a quick place to grab edible japanese food. Thanks!ReplyDelete
That is HILARIOUS!ReplyDelete
see, copyright infringement is fun!ReplyDelete
love the mishmashed name with chaya thrown in for good measure.ReplyDelete
yet another mystery unveiled. i heart you weemo! :)ReplyDelete
Shouldn't they also be careful of Wahoo's (of the fish taco fame)?ReplyDelete
No fish tacos? Hmmm. The tempura looks really good though.ReplyDelete
Sometimes convenient is all you need.ReplyDelete
authentic or not, that looks tasty.ReplyDelete
I'm confused as to whether or not I think the name of this place is super creative or not...ReplyDelete
